Terms and Conditions

General Terms & Conditions

By using the services Your Village Baby & Child Sleep Support offers you agree to:

  • follow safe sleeping practices at all times in line with the AAP safe sleep guidelines, as well as their recommendations. You agree to inform Vera from Your Village Sleep Support of any sleep practices that are considered unsafe and understand and accept that Vera from Your Village Sleep Support is not liable for my babies safety- You are.

  • check with your GP if your child has any medical conditions which might prevent them from being sleep trained safely and to get professional clearance before starting the sleep training process.

  • disclose any further medical condition to Vera from Your Village Sleep Support, which your child has, whether they might be sleep related or not.​

  • be aware that any changes you make to your child’s sleeping or eating routine are ultimately your decision and I at Your Village Sleep Support only make suggestions for change, based on scientific research and your very personal situation. You will still be responsible for choosing what suggestions and recommendations to implement.

  • acknowledge that the sleep support plan and all documents that come with it, are customised to your child’s individual needs and should not be shared with a third party. Any client found to be sharing their sleep support plan and other documents will be liable for the cost of the shared program.

Terms of payment

  • All support options can be purchased online with a credit card or by a bank transfer. YOUR VILLAGE 12-3188-0566682-00 (please use your name as reference).

  • Please note that all credit card payments will have a small transaction surcharge (comes up as GST). This is only part of the cost STRIPE is charging and due to being only a small business I have to pass this extra cost onto my customers. 

  • If you decide to pay via bank transfer this extra charge will not apply! 

  • If you have any questions regarding payment methods or scheduling, please contact me directly at vera.yourvillage@gmail.com or under 0279372848.

  • In the event of outstanding invoices, Your Village Sleep Support will refer the balance to a collection agency. Any collection costs incurred from the collection agency will be the client’s responsibility.

  • All bookings are initially tentative, until fees are paid in full to confirm your booking and ahead of our consultation. A preferred start date, as desired by you as the client, might get delayed (your time slot might be taken by another family in need of sleep support), if funds do not clear ahead of our consultation date. 

  • Cancellations less than 48 hours ahead of our consultation can only be refunded with 50% of the costs. Cancellations prior to that will incur a 8% admin fee due to electronic payment fees, processing time etc.

  • Travel charges are free for the first 25 km, with NZ$ 1.10 per km there after, which will be added to your home consult or parent group bill.

 

 Consultations & Follow up support

  • During the consultation we will be talking through the questionnaire you have filled in and we will have time to go through any questions you might have. From there I will come up with some suggestions and recommendations, which I will write up into an individual sleep support plan for you + send through to you on the same day

  • During our time together we will have 4/6 follow up calls (initial one within 24 hours, after that about every 2- 3 days), with the additional option to contact me via Whats App/text for some more timely trouble shooting during the first 2 days. 

  • FAIR USE POLICY FOR TEXT/WHATS APP SUPPORT: While the option of texting me for the initial first 2 days is part of all support options which include follow up support, "fair use" is applied. This means, while I do work some evenings/nights and weekends (pre-arranged), my general working hours are Mo-Fri, 9am-5pm. I am as well a working mother with 2 little children, so while I will always try my best to reply asap, this is not an "on call service".  

  • In preparation for these calls, you will need to send me the personal sleep log (word document, which I will send with the plan). This will be an important tool for me to be able to support you along the way and to know how to troubleshoot individual areas

  • Throughout our time together it will be beneficial to prioritize the learning as much as possible by minimizing daytime outings

  • After our consultation we will agree when our 1st follow up call will be (day and time) and from there we schedule a time and day at the end of every call.

  • In case you are unable to not make the agreed time for a call, please do let me know asap via messenger/ Whats App, so we can find a time convenient for both of us to re- schedule

  • On our last support day we will have a sign off call, followed by a sign off email which will have a little summary of our journey together, as well as some tips for you moving forward
